Ex-plumber plugs
website leaks leaving clients ‘flushed’
with success!
If
a tabloid newspaper ever wrote an article
about me, I hope they’d use that headline
;-)
Lots of websites talk about
themselves (too much) in the third
person, as if being written up by the
Financial Times. But hey, it’s a
small firm – we're no big
corporation and I don’t want to bore you.
But as you're here, indulge me for a page
or two...
You might like to know who the
person is behind this site, whether I’m a
real person, if what I’m doing is a scam
or snake oil, and whether I can stand up
to my claims. Fair point I say,
so here are all the answers in
a nut shell…
Humble
Beginnings:
Born and bred in Essex I had an
average education. I tried A levels – but
didn’t like college and the
whole authority thing, so I
quit.
For a year I bummed around and
worked as a lifeguard, then fell into a
plumbing apprenticeship via a
friend.
Three years of learning my trade
on the building sites of London and Essex
while studying for my mechanical
engineering exams was tough, but I did my
time and passed my exams. Then as soon as
I could, set up as a self employed
plumber and heating engineer and swore to
never have a ‘normal’ job or work for a
boss again. I had just turned
21.
Over the next six years, my “one
man band” grew to the largest and most
successful central heating businesses in
the area. We picked up several business
awards, were written up in the
Independent Newspaper, and were featured
on ITV’s 60 Minute Makeover TV
program.
The growth of the business was
down to good marketing. I learned how to
do it the hard way. I studied every
marketing ‘guru’, and applied their
teachings to our little heating business.
The results were amazing – we couldn’t
believe it and neither could our
competition. We were always
busy while being TWICE as expensive
as the nearest competitor.
Other people were asking me to
work my marketing magic on their
businesses (which I really loved and
wanted to do full-time).
And here I am - lots of clients
under my belt, as well as some
head-spinning success
stories.
