New Marketing Audio Seminar - Free Download
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Remember I sent an email out a couple of weeks ago asking you for your
questions?
Well, the response has been fantastic - and if you did send in your
questions, thanks very much for your contribution.
I’ve just finished recording the audio and it’s now available to download here. (Right click and choose “save as”)
In the seminar I cover:
- How to make your business stand out from the competition,
- Viral and interactive elements on your website,
- Getting ranked highly on the natural search engine listings,
- How to approach joint venture partners and set up deals,
- How to position yourself if you’re in a service business,
- Top Google Adwords tips and a free tool,
- How to improve visitor conversions,
- How to find your customers needs and create good website content quickly,
- My opinion on internet marketing “get rich” schemes,
- How to find out if your new product or service has the makings of success with very little risk,
- How to set up an email marketing campaign, why the 80/20 principle is important when sending emails.
The file’s pretty big at about 66MB and runs at about 1hr 10mins.
It’s available as an mp3 so you can stick it on your Ipod or burn
it to disc.
You can download it here for free:

I’ve got some really cool stuff coming out in the new year that I
think you’ll love if you want to get more business using the
internet.
Thanks very much for taking an interest in my work, and I’ll speak
to you soon!

Spy On Your Competition and Discover Their Profitable Keywords
I’ve tried a few keyword spy tools and have been quite disappointed so far. They either give you silly results or they are fine if you live and market in America.
However, I’ve just signed up to Keyword Spy and so far I’m pretty impressed!
The best thing about this is that you can select where you want to “spy” quite accurately, rather than just assuming you’re in America. You can pick either UK, Australia, Ireland, Canada & South Africa, as well as a “Global” option.
It tells you exactly what keywords your competition are bidding on, and although it’s not totally accurate it does give you a damn good idea of what they’re up to!
You can also view their ads related to the keyword and find out how many other advertisers are bidding on a search term. I just spent about 4 hours on this thing last night - it’s fascinating.
I don’t think this replaces good keyword and market research, but if you are entering a new market or are in a competitive market, this’ll definitely give you an edge.

Google Adwords Keyword Tool (Paid)
This is the tool that I use for mine and clients campaigns to generate extensive keyword lists and just generally reduce the labour of setting up an adwords campaign.
It’s by Howie Jacobson (The man who wrote Google Adwords for Dummies) and is not only highly recommended by me, but also the Google Adwords legend, Perry Marshall.
Don’t let the red fonts and yellow highlighter put you off, it’s actually a great tool if you can get past that!
I think you can take a trial for $3.95 (2 quid) if you scroll to the bottom of the sales page and click the
“Click here to start your 21-day trial of The AdTool.”
It’s just above the address at the bottom of the page.

George
Free Pay Per Click Visitor Value Calculator Tool
I’ve just created a simple tool that helps you work out your website visitor value. It’s nothing too complicated, but it does the trick.
Visitor value is really important when bidding on paid (pay per click) traffic as it helps you work out what you can afford to pay for a click and not lose money.
Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments section!

The £100 Million Free Marketing Resource
I just stumbled across this free resource from Paul Gorman, a UK marketing legend.
I’ve heard some great things about him, but haven’t studied him in great detail myself. However, I reckon this new site is worth a look.
Apparently, Paul has now retired and is “opening the doors” and making his previousy paid-for information available for free.
I’ve only skimmed the website, but it looks like it’s got a lot of good, solid marketing information on it based on the likes of Jay Abraham and Dan Kennedy.
Check it out and let me know what you think by leaving a comment on this blog.

YouTube, FaceBook, and American Food…
I admit it. I’ve been slow on the up take with this.
If you’ve been following me or my work, you know that I’m a pay per click and direct response marketing evangelist.
I love it because it brings me and my clients measurable, accountable results. The kind of results businesses can be built on and financial projections can be made.
However, a couple of things recently have sparked my interest. Here’s how it happened…
FaceBook and direct mail marketing.
Back in October I was at a get together in Chicago with Perry Marshall and his other coaching students. We were talking over lunch about marketing on the internet and the subject of FaceBook came up while we were waiting for our food…
Thanks for Your Questions!
Just a quick note to say thanks for all your questions. The response has been great — there are some very intelligent people on my email list!
I’ll be compiling these and answering them in an audio seminar coming soon! (Before Christmas)
Cheers,
George
Free Laptops from AOL?
Have you seen the adverts? Why on earth would AOL give you a free laptop for joining their broadband service? Surely they’ll lose money…. or will they?
If you’ve been in the marketing business for a decent amount of time, you’ll know that AOL, despite all their faults, are very clever marketers. They understand the concepts of lifetime value.
Let me begin by explaining Lifetime Value for the uninitiated…
Put simply, lifetime value is: the sum of all the purchases a customer makes from you over the lifespan of your business relationship.
Ask Me Anything…
Well, anything marketing related anyway.
I’m putting together an audio seminar for my subscribers and need to know what your biggest internet marketing questions are.
All you need to do is send me an email or leave a comment on this post.
Cheers,
George
