		<description>Absolutely Steve. Local advertising seems to be in a state of flux at the moment with traditional local advertising becoming less effective, yet with local internet advertising still trying to get traction.

The next year or so will be very interesting for local online marketing.

Something else we&#039;ve discussed in the past which could be classed as a prediction: local search will play a much bigger role in 2010 than ever before.

The quality of local information is still reasonably poor, but with geo-targeting and more GPS enabled devices, it&#039;s only a matter of time before marketers start to take advantage.

That also brings about opportunities for bricks and mortar businesses: plumbers, electricians, dentists, etc. Far too many small scale local businesses are still not well represented online.</description>
